Starting Suzy's Closet began as my way of sharing with people what I am most passionate about, fashion. Over this fantastic year the blog has received visitors from places like the United Kingdom, China and even Germany! I never imagined that my blog would be seen in so many places around the world. I appreciate all of my visitors especially the ones right here in New York! Meeting my readers while walking around the city has been an amazing experience and what better way to celebrate then right at home! Thanks to the owner and staff from APT. 78 I was able to host my one year blogiversary brunch event in Uptown Manhattan with my friends, family and a few of my dedicated subscribers!
Adding a little Suzy's Closet flair to APT. 78 was first one the list. With the help of my amigas (friends) and sisters setting up was a snap. Everything from our logo banner to the selfie Instagram board was made possible by FatCat Decals, a little eBay shop with endless possibilities. The tables were decorated with super cute DIY accessory holders and loaded with candy, buttons, business cards and perfume samples graciously donated by Cocktail Perfume and FragranceNet.
How could we not want to take some real life selfies? This board was absolutely perfect to have some fun being silly and cute. No filter needed!
APT. 78 has a delicious brunch menu which we all really enjoyed! I just couldn't resist ordering my favorite, pancakes! I loved the presentation and fruit toppings because it reminded me of how my mom makes them.
Who says you can't have dessert after brunch?
Guests were able to satisfy their sweet tooth with cupcakes and mini cake bites dashed with edible glitter by Bakezilla. They really outdid themselves! They even made special cupcakes that said "Suzy's Closet," how cute is that? I loved everything about their treats and service that after my event I ordered Disney Princess themed mini cupcakes for my niece's 5th birthday party! Be sure to check out their Facebook page!!!
Thank you so much ladies for sponsoring my event with your delicious treats!
As people ate and chatted, raffle tickets were passed out for some really great prizes: a makeup bundle from my friends at BeFabulosa, L'Oréal hair care set, gift set from Glam Passion, free passes to Regenerate Fitness along with a stylish purple yoga mat - just to name a few. Not to mention our gift bags donated by Miss Jessie's and European Beauty Concepts, which included a bunch of AMAZING hair product samples.

I wanted everyone to go home with one of these fantastic dry shampoos courtesy of Aloxxi! They smell amazing and they definitely come in handy on those days when you're too tired or busy to wash your mane. Thank you so much Aloxxi for your generous donation!!!!!
My guests shared the contents of their goody bags, raffle items and fun pics from the event on Instagram and Twitter! It was a great feeling to see people really enjoying their freebies and sharing them with their followers. Included in the raffles and bags are some extra goodies I purchased from some of my favorite brands: E.L.F. Cosmetics, Luna Bars, Tazo, Conair, BH Cosmetics and Wet n Wild.

A big thank you to Iridescence Designs for donating cute midi rings and Gabby's House of Jewelry for gifting some arm candy to the goody bags!!! Everyone loved the unexpected surprise! Also, thanks for donating such gorgeous statement necklaces for the raffle!!!
I couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate than with all these wonderful people who took the time out to show me love and support. It truly was surreal receiving so much merchandise from a ton of fabulous companies and their friendly reps who gave Suzy's Closet a chance. Everyday I think about my little idea and how its flourished into something so big, it's mind blowing! The year 2014 is looking bright, with new sections of the blog on the way! I want to continue giving my readers something new and fresh that will help you all in your quest to look and feel great!
