My hair is and always has been a huge part of who I am. If I'm having a bad hair day then that automatically means I'm having a bad day, period (I'm such a diva). It would take more than one blog post to share the evolution of my hair because my poor hair has literally been through it all. I've been a brunette, blonde and weird shade of red; I even permed my hair once (huge mistake). But honestly, I don't regret any of it because there's something exhilarating about being able to change your look through transforming your hair. It's a way for you to express yourself without the permanent commitment. But there is a downside to being "adventurous" when it comes to your hair. We all know hot tools, hair dyes and even the environment itself can take it's toll out on your hair. Damaged hair is not a good look for any hairstyle you're trying to achieve that's why it's important to use hair products that specifically target your hair problems. I teamed up with Latina Bloggers Connect and Dove to share the Regenerative Nourishment hair care line that is formulated to eliminate the signs of damaged and over-processed hair.
This trio has truly helped rescue my hair by restoring it's shine and strength. For the longest I've been using a curling iron to wave my hair because it looked so damaged when I straightened it but as you can see from the pictorial below, I'm back at it again with the straight hur! I love that the Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner are infused with red algae and keratin nutricomplex because after a few washes my hair looks and feels healthier. The formula uses a unique combination of technologies and ingredients to replenish lost nutrients and reconstruct the internal structure of your hair, while restoring smoothness and strength.
Steps on how to achieve straight hair:
1) Wash and condition hair with the Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner.
2) Apply 2 pumps of the Dove Regenerative Nourishment Serum-In-Oil to dry hair to reduce frizz and boost shine or apply 3 to 4 pumps on damp hair.
3) Section off your hair with a comb and pass the flat iron from root to tip.
4) You might be late but at least you'll show up looking cute!
I love how Dove is constantly encouraging women to feel empowered and express themselves. Check out this dope video on the campaign by clicking here. Now let's celebrate all hair types, textures, styles and colors!!!

While I can't complain about the winter we had, I'm so ready for Spring to arrive! Today's look is inspired by this month's issue of People StyleWatch magazine because I instantly fell in love with the cover (below). Pink is my favorite color and it also happens to be the color of the season!
I have a thing for well put together monochromatic outfits because they are so simple yet classic. I also like this trend because it helps elongate my body frame. It's fairly easy to put together a monochromatic outfit, simply pick one color and pair it with a few separates in similar shades of that color.
Quick tip courtesy of People StyleWatch: Keep your dress and coat similar lengths for a clean silhouette.

Last week I scored this over-sized jacket from Forever 21 on sale for $19.99!!! Don't you just love when that happens? The weather was nice last weekend so I popped the tags off and gave it a grunge feel with a beanie, acid wash jeans, turtleneck, ankle boots and a plaid shirt wrapped around my waist.
Hey guys! It's still very much winter in NYC but I took advantage of the nice weather in Orlando when I went to Disney World and traded my turtleneck for a crop top. I wasn't exactly sure what to wear this cropped t-shirt with because I've gained a few pounds this winter but I brought it with me anyway. I decided to pair it with high-waisted jeans which just so happened to do the trick! The high-waisted jeans concealed my tummy and also accentuated my curves. A longline cardigan is another simple way to balance a crop top.
Remember ladies, it's good to leave a little something to the imagination ;)
Hey there! I’m back from my hiatus and excited to share my thoughts on John Frieda’s revolutionary new Brilliant Brunette at-home treatments, shampoos and conditioners. If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that I received the entire collection which consists of hair products to lighten, deepen and amplify brunette colour right in the shower. Yes, you read correctly! These products are specifically formulated to bring out the beauty in YOUR brunette shade, easily and affordably.
I love dark brown hair so I chose to wash my locks with the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Shampoo and Conditioner ($9.99 each). I must say I was surprised by how well the products worked after just one use! Once I blow dried my hair I noticed that the color looked richer and shinier. I recently dyed my hair at home but had been noticing the color fading away with each wash so these bad boys couldn’t have come at a better time.
I really like that the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Collection smells good and doesn’t stain your hands like other in-shower shampoos/conditioners that claim to add vibrant color and shine to your hair. I didn't try the Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper In-Shower Treatment ($9.99) since I did just recently dye my hair but I'll keep you guys posted on that product.
John Frieda also included this "Not A Basic Brunette" sweatshirt from Bow & Drape which I thought was super cute and couldn't wait to wear!!!

Hands down, the holidays are my favorite time of the year! I love everything about the holiday season because it truly is a time of love, happiness and giving to those in need. For me, it’s also all about family, which is number one in my life. There’s something magical about the holidays—everything from the decorations to the festivities always reminds me of my childhood, when my entire family would get together and celebrate by drinking coquito, exchanging gifts, eating, dancing and haciendo tremenda bulla.
I know I’ve said this before, but Target truly is one of my favorite places to shop. Even more so during the holidays because I can literally go to Target and find great deals on gifts, decorations and everyday essentials all under one roof. I really like the fact that Target stores are conveniently located and how organized they are.
Lately, going to Target has become a family activity. We all go together and browse through our favorite aisles pointing out all of the pretty and unique items we like. My mom and I spotted a few Christmas trees on sale (download the Cartwheel app on your smartphone to save money) and a ton of gorgeous ornaments. A trip to Target for one thing can easily turn into two hours of browsing and a shopping cart full of goodies because of my antojitos. Needless to say, my place will be adorned with holiday décor straight from Target!
I can be such a procrastinator but somehow I always manage to get sh*t done. Case in point, my DIY (do it yourself) unicorn Halloween look. I couldn't find the right wig for what I really wanted to be for Halloween this year so I went on Pinterest and started searching for a cute and easy costume I could put together. With the help of my amiga who just so happens to be a DIY guru I was able to put my look together in two days! Keep reading for all the details on what you'll need to recreate this look!!!
I'm always trying to think of ideas for new posts so if you really like this post, please leave me a comment. I would definitely do more of these if you guys really like it! <3
To create this look, you will need:
Card stock paper
To create the horn, roll up one sheet of white card stock paper into the shape of a cone. Apply glue to hold it in place, then paint the outside with the paint of your choice. Once the paint is completely dry add stickers, glitter or anything else you would like to decorate the horn with. Use a hole puncher to make two small holes for the ribbon that will act as a headband.
To create the tail, I used a multi-colored yarn that I purchased at Michael's. I placed one end of the yarn in my hand and proceeded to loop it around my elbow and back into my hand. Once I looped it around about 20 times I snipped the end of it so I was just left with the yarn that was wrapped around my hand and elbow. Then I used a separate piece or yarn to tie a knot at the center of my loop. After that I simply cut the opposite end of the loop straight down the middle. To latch the tail to my jeans, I used two safety pins on the side where I tied the extra piece of yarn.

People StyleWatch is one of my favorite magazines, every month I look forward to receiving each issue in the mail! October's issue is all about denim so I thought it would be a cool idea to recreate a look from their 'Steal Her Style' section. I really like how denim shirts and jeans look together, it's so timeless. I remember watching Saved by the Bell and seeing the cast wear denim on denim back in the 90's.
Kendall Jenner's outfit caught my attention in particular because it's so effortless and well put together. I hope you like my take on her Canadian suit! :)

Sadly, Summer has come to an end (let's have a moment of silence for my favorite season).
But that doesn't mean you can't get a few more wears out of your Summer clothes. I paired these faux leather shorts with booties and a vest to give them a Fall vibe. I was going to wear tights underneath the shorts but I decided to show off my tan while I still can since the weather has been nice in New York.

During New York Fashion Week I attended an event hosted by Mode Media at a cute place called, Le Bar. It was my first time there but definitely not my last; I instantly fell in love with the casual vibe and magical view. Everything about this bar from the neon lights to the outdoor Hermès hanging garden was perfect. If you're ever in the World Trade Center area, I recommend you go check it out!
A few of my blogger boo’s were there as well and we had so much fun dancing, laughing, taking pictures and catching up. We enjoyed a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres and the delicious signature cocktail called, The Saint Tropez. The drink consisted of: provençal rosé wine, cointreau, giffard creme de peche, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and garnished with a fresh sprig of mint -- so good!
