Hey everyone! I haven't had time to blog because I've been super busy getting ready for my vacation. But I could not leave without putting together a little bday post! To celebrate my birthday the hubby and I are off to Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be our first time visiting Sin City so we're super excited to find out what REALLY happens in Vegas! We have a list of things we want to do while we're out there which include a Gondola ride at the Venetian, dinner at Tao, the Bellagio water show, gambling, pool parties, indoor zip-lining, etc. I'll be sharing a few pictures through my Instagram account while I'm out there so don't forget to follow me!
This Grecian updo is not only super cute but it's so easy to do! All you need is a headband and a comb!
This necklace was a Christmas gift from my sister. It's one of my favorite pieces!!!

Vintage-inspired looks are one of my favorites because I'm an old school kinda girl. I love the look because it's very reminiscent of the days when everyone dressed up on a daily basis. Plus I'm very big on details which are consistent throughout vintage fashion. To create this look I started with a lace top that I purchased at Burlington Coat Factory this week. Since the top is see through, I layered it with a cream colored tank. Then I picked out a semi-sheer lavender skirt and paired it with nude ankle strap sandals (both from Forever 21). I felt the look was still missing something so I created a quick Grecian updo to give my look a more vintage feel. The finishing touches are always the accessories which I picked out for an extra pop of color.
I'm looking forward to celebrating another year of life and starting a new chapter! Birthdays are very special to me because they give me the opportunity to reflect on my goals, failures and accomplishments. I would like to end this post with a meaningful quote from a Commencement speech Steve Jobs gave in 2005.
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and for visiting my blog! Have a great weekend!!!
