I thought it would be a cool idea to come up with a way to keep my readers up-to-date on things going on in the fashion world, so I came up with "Fashion Forecast." On the last day of every month I will recap events and things to keep an eye out for. If you want to share any insider information, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

FASHION'S NIGHT OUT 2013: CANCELLED
According to Women's Wear Daily, Fashion's Night Out won't be taking place in the U.S. this year. The event began in 2009 during the recession in New York as a way to improve the city's economy. I am so sad about this news because I love Fashion's Night Out. It's an awesome event that usually takes place in September for one evening where you can enjoy free cocktails, live DJ's, discounts, designer and celebrity sightings, etc. The article states that it was decided by Vogue, the Council of Fashion Desingers of America and NYC & Co. that FNO should go on a hiatus so that retailers and designers can focus on their budgets with respect to their specific objectives.
UPCOMING COLLECTION LAUNCHES
Rihanna will be collaborating with MAC to create a line of cosmetics called, RiRi ♥ MAC.
Unlike past collaborations which only consist of one colour collection, Rihanna's will span out 4 different colour collections (31 items). Each collection will have its own vibe, look, special makeup packaging and flavor.
The makeup line will be available later this year in stores/online but be sure to keep an eye out for her first lipstick (RiRi Woo) coming out in early May.
Rihanna was very particular about the creation of RiRi Woo, she was adamant about it being suitable for every skin tone. The lipstick will be slightly more blue-red and retro matte.
I'm super excited about this collaboration!!! Ruby Woo is one of my favorite red lipsticks so I can't wait to see what RiRi Woo is going to look like on me!

JCPenney: Pearl by Georgina Chapman of Marchesa on March 1, 2013
Georgina Chapman is known for dressing Hollywood's top stars on the red carpet. If you're longing to emulate the red carpet looks of Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams and Naomi Watts you should visit JCPenney! The collection is availableonline/in-stores and consists of special occassion gown's, prom and party dresses - all under $250!!! I think it's great that JCPenney is making an effort to freshen up their image. I will definitely be checking out the collection later today.
Target: Kate Young on April 14, 2013
Since 1999 Target has collaborated with over 100 designers, providing access to amazing fashion at affordable prices. I'm super excited about Target's next limited-edition collection because for the first time ever, a celeb stylist will be added to the esteemed list. Her name is Kate Young, last year she topped The Hollywood Reporter’s list of 25 most powerful stylists. Such an inspiration to an aspiring stylist like myself. Kate started her career assisting Anna Wintour at Vogue magazine.
Kate Young is one of the most sought-after stylist who has styled celebs like Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and more.
Make sure to check out her edgy and sophisticated collection debuting at Target on April 14, 2013. Her exclusive pieces will range in price from $14.99 to $89.99!!!
