Its been a long week for me but I'm glad the weekend is finally here!!! I have a lot of content to work on for the blog and I'm also going to film a video for my YouTube channel. Enough small talk, let's get right into today's blog post ;)
I was excited when I received these Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirants from the Dove team because they're my fave. The 'Nourished Beauty' scent (blue cap) is my go-to scent because it smells so good. On top of the amazing fruity apple and fresh white flower scent I just love how Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant keeps me protected from odor and wetness all day long. Its been my favorite deodorant since I ditched my old solid antiperspirant.
My morning routine consists of: spending 10 to 15 minutes sitting on my bed thinking about how tired I am, showering, brushing my teeth, inhaling a cup of coffee and starting the glam process. One thing I put on every day before anything else is deodorant because no amount of perfume or makeup can mask funky armpits. There have been times when I was in such a rush I forgot to put deodorant on and it would literally ruin my entire day because I felt any minute I would smell my underarms and want to die (excuse the dramatization). Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant is a must for me when getting because it gives me an extra boost of confidence to seize the day and it makes my daily routine easier - Shake, Spray and Go!!! Did I mention it's super convenient to travel with? It fits perfectly in my purse and gym bag (a must-have for those booty shaking Vixen Workout Classes).

Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops
Finding the right foundation shade for your skin tone can be challenging but thanks to Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops now you can create your very own personalized foundation.
The formula in this product contains Flash Fusion Technology, which means it contains concentrated pigments that give you the power to transform your favorite facial moisturizer, oils, primers or anything liquid into the perfect weightless coverage that is just for you! I usually stick with drugstore foundations but this product is definitely worth the extra bucks. I love that you can control the level of coverage just by adjusting the number of drops you use (a little goes a long way). One drop gives you a sheer coverage as opposed to four drops which gives you total coverage. Another great thing about Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops is that using it long-term is beneficial to your skin because it does not contain parabens, sulfates or phthalates.
Tips: Custom Cover Drops are designed to be mixed with other beauty products, do not use this product alone. Shake well before use to ensure seamless blending, precise control and the smoothest application.
My shade: N50 (Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops is available in 24 shades)

Cover | FX Custom Infusion Drops
I'm a really big fan of oils because they help keep my dry skin hydrated throughout the day. A few months ago I received a sample of the Cover | FX Custom Infusion Drops and I've been using them ever since because I really like being able to customize my skincare routine. There are four different types:
Calming: E + Chamomile: This blend features chamomile oil, which comforts, soothes, and reduces the look of inflammation, while vitamin E acts as a powerful antioxidant that supports antiaging and protects against premature aging.
Hydration: F + Neroli: The hydrating blend is infused with neroli oil and vitamin F. Neroli oil conditions and soothes, and vitamin F contains sodium hyluronate, which works to deeply nourish and hydrate skin.
Radiance: C + Lemongrass: To support a radiant complexion, this blend combines vitamin C and lemongrass. Lemongrass tones the skin and vitamin C helps to brighten up the complexion and protect it against damaging free radicals.
Anti-aging: A + Jasmine: Powered by vitamin A and jasmine oil, the vitamin A in these drops supports cell turnover and reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles; jasmine oil boosts the skin’s hydration.
This product is clinically-tested and noncomedogenic. It is free of fragrance, gluten, and talc.

Healthy skin is the key to looking and feeling your best. That's why I always make time for my skincare routine no matter where I am or what time of the day it is. It's super important to do your research on the products you use on your skin, nails and hair because some of the ingredients can cause breakouts, rashes or even more serious conditions. Today's post is about a brand called Vita Liberata, which uses the most natural and organic ingredients to deliver the very best in sunless tanning products.
I've tried so many different sunless tanning products over the past few years and none of them can compare to Vita Liberata Body Blur. For starters, Body Blur does not smell like your typical self tanner because it relatively has no scent at all. I literally just applied some more on my hands after writing that sentence just to make sure. I also love that Body Blur doesn't stain my hands because while I want that sunkissed glow I don't want my hands to look like an Oompa Loompa. A little bit goes a long way with this product, I only used about 5 pea-sized drops to tan one entire leg. I started by shaving and exfoliating my legs while in the shower and after towel drying my skin, I applied the product sparingly in a circular motion. It dries on contact and contains micronised particles that reflect light (you can see the difference in the picture below).
Vita Liberata Body Blur retails for $45.00 and can be used on your entire body or as a makeup primer on your face to give you an instant flawless finish. It truly does give your skin a photo ready finish and natural looking tint without the sun damage.
A new season calls for a new skincare routine because my skin is always changing due to the weather and aging (wah!). My current skincare routine consists of a new brand called, Conffianz (the word Conffianz comes from the Spanish words “confianza” and “confidente” meaning trust and confidence). They are a skincare company dedicated specifically to Latinas and their Clear & Confident Kit ($49.95) is specifically formulated to treat dark spots and uneven skin tones.
I know you're probably thinking, why is she using a product for dark spots/uneven skin tones if she doesn't have those skin problems? Well, ladies and gents...I do have some dark spots created by sun exposure and acne. It's not very noticeable when I have makeup on but it's definitely there. The kit consists of a facial cleanser, skin lightener cream and facial moisturizer. After using the trio for a approximately two weeks I must say I really like them because they're gentle, easy to use and they're working for my skin. I love that the moisturizer has SPF 30 because even though summer is over, it's still very important to protect your skin from the sun.
Conffianz launched in 250 Target stores a few weeks ago and in celebration they announced the Inexplicablemente Bella Scholarship. Conffianz will proudly donate a percentage of its Target sales from September 15th through the end of 2015 to fund the Inexpicablemente Bella Scholarship. This scholarship will be available to females of Latino descent living in the United States who are or will pursue full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-or four year college or university, or vocational-technical school. Selenis Leyva from Orange Is the New Black looked gorgeous on the red carpet Sunday night at the Emmy Awards. Keep reading to find out how you can #GetTheLook her makeup artist and hairstylist created using L’Oréal Paris products!
MAKEUP ARTIST: Mathias Alan
STEP 1: Mathias primed and mattified Selenis’ skin using L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur ($24.99). To prep eyes, he applied a healthy dose of L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Eye Renewal Eye Cream ($24.99) and allowed it to dry for about 30 minutes prior to applying foundation.
STEP 2: As a first makeup step, Mathias combined an array of shadows from L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude in 01 and 02 ($19.99) to create his signature sculpted lid and crease structure. He then swept a combination of Infallible 24Hr in Amber Rush all over lids, and Infallible 24Hr in Glistening Garnet on the highpoint of her lower eyelid for a shimmering ombré effect.
STEP 3: To complete the eyes and lengthen lashes, Mathias applied NEW L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Superstar Mascara ($9.99). He went on to line lids with a precise iconic black wing drawn with NEW L’Oréal Paris Superstar Liner ($9.99).
STEP 4: Mathias mixed a combination of L’Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($10.95) – shades N7 and N8 with a foundation brush and applied all over the face.
STEP 5: Next, he blended L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in W101 Golden ($12.99) to add a bit of sheen to her cheekbones.
STEP 6: Selenis wanted a deep vibrant plum wine lip color to be focus of her look, so together they chose L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Pen in 108 Matte-r of Fact ($9.99).
STEP 7: Last, Mathias applied L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator in W02 Golden ($12.99) to Selenis’ arms, chest and neck for a light-catching glow, and finished the entire look off with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray ($16.99).
HAIRSTYLIST: Tiffany Daugherty
INSPIRATION: Tiffany’s vision, “was to go soft and full with texture to compliment the bold look and dress.”
STEP 1: For the ultimate shine, she washed her hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Nutri-Gloss Shampoo and Conditioner ($4.99 each).
STEP 2: To create a long lasting look with volume, she sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray ($4.99) on damp hair and blow dried it with a medium round brush. Tiffany then flat ironed hair to create volume to the crow section.
STEP 3: Tiffany went on to add texture and lift by spraying L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It High Lift Creation Spray ($4.99) to the roots focusing on the crown section.

As some of you probably already know, New York Fashion Week kicked-off last week (yay!). And if you're like me, you know no outfit is complete without the right accessories. Yes, your nails are just as important as the jewelry and makeup you put on to personalize your look. Sally Hansen, the number one brand in nail color and nail treatment was my go-to because I needed a nail polish that was durable, easy to use and trendy. I took to Instagram for help on deciding which one of these amazingly pigmented colors to choose for my first fashion week event. I can honestly say Sally Hansen gets the Suzy stamp of approval because after all the NYFW events, cooking, cleaning and washing dishes it's still going strong.
I really like the shape of the brush because the oval tip curves perfectly to my nail bed.

Jennifer Lopez slayed the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday night. The stunning 45 year old actress/singer wore a flowing Elie Saab couture gown that I just couldn't get enough of. Everything from the plunging neckline to the long train had me oohing and aahing! But what I loved most was how simple and chic her makeup, hair and nails looked; maintaining all of the focus on her beautiful gown. Today I'm sharing the inspiration and steps on how to recreate JLo's beauty look straight from the professionals at L’Oréal Paris. Keep reading to find out how you can #GetTheLook!
MAKEUP ARTIST: Mary Phillips for L’Oréal Paris
INSPIRATION: A departure from Jennifer’s Golden Globes look, Mary’s inspiration was drawn mostly by Jennifer’s sparkly, ethereal gown. As such, she stuck to a monochromatic palette of warm peaches and diffused bronzes around her eye, paired with a cool toned pink lip that had glacier blue undertones. The moment felt very royal – almost princess-like.
STEP 1: Mary prepped the skin with L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Moisture Blur ($24.99).
STEP 2: Next, she applied L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Tan ($12.99) followed by Armani Fluid Sheer #13 as a highlighter.
STEP 3: She enhanced brows using L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Designer in Blonde ($7.99).
STEP 4: To create the eye look, Mary turned to NEW L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude ($19.99, available in April) followed by accents of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner Pen in Taupe Smoke ($9.99).
STEP 5: She then curled lashes and applied multiple coats of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Miss Manga Black Angel Mascara ($7.99).
STEP 6: To complete the look, she used L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Color in Timeless Rose ($12.99) on the lips.
NAIL ARTIST: Tom Bachik, L’Oréal Paris Global Nail Artist
INSPIRATION: “Tonight it was all about the dress. The gown was the star of the show and we wanted to create a monochromatic, tonal nail look that would enhance the overall look.”
STEP 1: Tom added a little length to nails with clear tips to create a 1930s almond shape.
STEP 2: For a subtle, sparkly contrast, he applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in I Like It Chunky ($5.99) underneath the nail, adding a pop of rose gold.
STEP 3: Last, he added 2 coats of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in Mauveless ($5.99) and completed the look with L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil ($24.99) for shine and moisture.
HAIRSTYLIST: Lorenzo Martin for L’Oréal Paris
INSPIRATION: “Jennifer’s dress was truly the inspiration behind her hair tonight. I wanted to keep Jennifer’s big, beautiful dress the star of the show, and so her hairstyle was simple and chic. The sleek high ponytail was also great for the rainy weather!”
STEP 1: To begin, wash hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Shampoo ($4.99), Pre-Conditioner ($6.99), and Conditioner ($4.99).
STEP 2: After washing, massage L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Ultimate Straight Straight Perfecting Balm ($6.99) all over wet hair to fight against humidity.
STEP 3: Blow dry hair with a round brush.
STEP 4: Set hair in big, hot rollers to create volume. Once set, remove the rollers and brush through the hair spraying on L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek It Strand Smoother Serum Spray ($4.99).
STEP 5: Gather hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic with metal hooks on each end to keep the ponytail high
STEP 6: Finish the look off with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Lock It Weather Control Hairspray ($4.99) to combat the rainy weather.
AT-HOME HAIR COLOR RECOMMENDATION: Get Jennifer’s gorgeous highlighted hair at-home with L’Oréal Paris Superior Preference Glam Lights in GL50 ($12.99).

It's no secret that I love makeup and that I truly enjoy testing products from different brands. This lipstick and eyeshadow combo was sent to me courtesy of Befabulosa-WhyBeOrdinaria!™ and I must say I'm loving them both! The "Girl Crush" lipstick from the Spring collection is my newest favorite shade of pink! The pale pink hue goes great with a smokey eye makeup look for night or layered-on for a little look-at-me pout during the day. What I like most about the lipstick is that it's infused with vitamin E and natural vanilla extract which prevents my lips from feeling and looking dry/flaky which tends to happen with similar colors from other brands. Both products are very pigmented which I feel accentuates my Latina flare. The Citrus eyeshadow is part of the Fashion Week Eyeshadows that were used to create gorgeous makeup looks on the models of Uptown Fashion Week! (Congrats Sheila!!!) I like to use this matte eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes for a subtle pop of color. I use a little bit of Befabulosa Eye & Lip Primer before applying the eyeshadow to keep everything in place all day long! The Befabulosa primer is AH-MAZING!!!

The official last day of Summer is September 22nd but here in New York we're already getting a taste of Fall. The cooler temperatures has caused me to once again embrace darker lipsticks and eyeshadows. Although I have a ton of lipsticks and eyeshadows to choose from, I'm really loving the Urban Decay Limited-Edition "Pulp Fiction" Collection. The collection is based off of Mrs. Mia Wallace; which is one of the characters in the iconic movie, Pulp Fiction. The fall inspired collection features an eyeshadow palette with neutral browns, red lipstick, red lip-pencil, red nail color and a glitter eyeliner in gunmetal. All of which really like that the collection is true to Mrs. Mia Wallace's badass persona and edgy look.
Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see how I'll incorporate the Pulp Fiction Palette, Revolution Lipstick in Mrs. Mia Wallace and Nail Color in Mrs. Mia Wallace into my Fall makeup looks!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Mrs. Mia Wallace
Mia’s lipstick is as iconic as her jet-black bob, so Urban Decay had to create the perfect shade to match. The result: Mrs. Mia Wallace, a deep blood red. Like every shade of Revolution Lipstick, this shade features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™ for insane color payoff with creamy shine. Maxi-Lip™ plumps and nourishing oils leave lips cushiony soft. This shade comes in a limited-edition, jet-black version of the usually gunmetal lipstick case.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Mrs. Mia Wallace
To go with the Revolution Lipstick, Urban Decay created a matching blood-red 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil, also dubbed Mrs. Mia Wallace. The creamy, waterproof formula applies smoothly, prevents feathering and lasts all day. Draw lines that define, then fill in your lips to help prime them for lipstick or gloss. Vitamin E, jojoba oil and cottonseed oil nourish the skin and ensure a smooth application.

Urban Decay Nail Color in Mrs. Mia Wallace
Urban Decay’s “PULP FICTION” collection wouldn’t be complete without a bottle of Nail Color inspired by Mia’s look from the film. The shade is of course dubbed Mrs. Mia Wallace, a deep red with a slight shimmer. The long-wearing, chip-resistant formula has a high-gloss finish that’s tough and durable, yet flexible. And it’s 3-free—formulated without toluene, formaldehyde or DBP. The full-size bottle comes with a limited-edition, jet-black cap and holds 10 ml of nail polish. You’ll wear this timeless red forever.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Gunmetal
Yes, we know Mia wasn’t wearing glitter liner in the film, but if there was a glitter liner in the ‘90s, she would have worn it. So Urban Decay created an exclusive Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner shade to best compliment her badass look –Gunmetal – black with black and silver sparkle. The water-based, buildable formula contains super-fine glitter in a clear base that dries down quickly and stays put. Peach and cucumber extract condition the skin, while carrot extract smoothes and softens. An added bonus – this shade is paraben-free.
