A big thank you to Isabel for inviting me to this fabulous event! Xoxo
Last week I was invited by Dove to try the newest scents added to their Advanced Care antiperspirant deodorant collection - Powder Fresh & Original Clean. I have been using Dove's Dry Spray on a daily basis for a while now and I absolutely love it! Although I will still continue to use the spray version of their deodorant, I must say I really like the stick version as well. For starters, the new fragrances smell DIVINE! I wish they would make a body spray out of the new scents because I literally could not stop smelling my hand after testing them out. I also love the fact that they contain NutriumMoisture which helps the skin under your arm to replenish itself from shaving irritation. I'll probably alternate between the Dove Dry Spray and Dove Advanced Care antiperspirant deodorant this summer to avoid those red bumps I tend to get after shaving.
A big thank you to Isabel for inviting me to this fabulous event! Xoxo
Wantable curated some cute and trendy athleisure wear looks that catered to various style personalities. We were gifted any look of our choice, I chose the Floral Frenzy because I loved the floral print on the leggings and tank.
I'm a hopeless romantic that has always been in love with the idea of true love. Two weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to witness my two good friends tie the knot at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana. It was truly amazing to see them proclaim their love for one another in front of their family and friends. The entire wedding was something out of a fairytale, everything from the weather to the food and photo booth was perfect! We laughed and danced the night away, literally! It was amazing reliving old memories and making new ones…I loved the part when the guys picked up Bryant (the groom) and started throwing him up in the air, thankfully they didn't drop him this time! Lol
Life has a funny way of making you realize what's important. There are so many people in this world that value the wrong things. It's not about money, looks, brands, status or any of that because in an instant it can all be taken away. Life is precious, you can be here one minute and gone the next. Almost a year ago I decided to stop dreaming about what I wanted to do with my life and actually do something to make it happen. I can honestly say that I have not looked back because it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm not exactly where I want to be career wise but I know I'm on the right path. For those of you who aren't happy because you'd rather be doing something else with your life, remember that there's not time like the present. Not everyone's situation is the same but I wholeheartedly believe that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Be smart about the choices you make - get your degree, save money, stay focused/consistent and take chances.
What I Wore
Hi everyone! I'm back from my amazing vacation and excited to share my review on these stylish eyeglasses I received from an online optical store called Firmoo.com
Yes, I wear glasses because I can't see well from far but that doesn't mean I wear just any old frames. I'm always on the hunt for trendy frames that suit my face and I love that Firmoo.com offers a wide variety of shapes, sizes, color and materials all at affordable prices for both men and women. They also have a few options if you're looking for prescription sunglasses or you can order any of the frames without prescriptions.
The unisex full frame acetate eyeglasses I'm wearing in the clear/tortoise color are only $29.00!!! My frames arrived in a week and they came with a nice case, spectacle pouch, cleaning cloth and tiny screwdriver. This was my first time ordering a pair of eyeglasses over the internet so I was a little scared the process was going to be complicated but it really wasn't. For a small additional fee I had the option of adding my prescription to the frames. Firmoo has a Virtual Try-On System where you can upload a picture of yourself to check if the shape of the frames suits your face or not. They also provide you with the specifications like weight, measurements, etc. under each item.

This post is sponsored by Target. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s 9:30am on the second Sunday of May and everyone is still sleeping. I roll over and take a peek under my bed to wake up my sister (she’s younger so mom thought it would be best if I slept on the top bunk). I whisper, “Today is Mother’s Day! Let’s clean and make mommy breakfast!” My sister gives me a big toothless smile and says, “Yeah!” We tip toe to the kitchen and quietly grab a chair in order to reach the cabinets and sink. About 20 minutes later we take our crunchy scrambled eggs, burnt toast and sausage to mommy’s room. In unison we yell, “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!” and mommy wakes up in shock and begins to empalarganos con tantos besos (make us sick with lots of kisses).
I get a special feeling when I think back to how I would shower my mom with apapacho (love and care), handmade cards and a ton of plants. Yes, I would save up my piragua (Puerto Rican shaved ice dessert) money and use it to buy pretty plants during the plant day sale at my school. Fast forward 20 years and I still get excited about what to get my mom for Mother’s Day because as the foundation of our household, she deserves it all! Finding the perfect gift isn’t easy with my busy schedule and so many things to choose from but I always make it a priority.
My favorite place to shop has to be Target because it truly is a one-stop shop. Target makes it super convenient for me to drop off my prescriptions, do groceries, get a stylish swimsuit for my upcoming vacation and find my mom something to estrenar (use for the first time). It truly is the perfect place for someone like me to shop because it fits into my everyday life and believe it or not, sometimes we go as a family!
I love making my mom feel beautiful so I picked up a few items from the beauty section at Target. These limited edition Sonia Kashuk makeup brushes caught my attention while searching for the perfect gift for my mom. I own a few of Sonia Kashuk's makeup brushes myself and I just love them! The quality and durability is amazing for the price point. I also picked up the illuMask which I've heard a lot of great things about. It's a light therapy mask that helps reduce the signs of aging by wearing the mask daily for 15 minutes.
I would love to read about how you celebrate Mother’s Day and any childhood memories/traditions you might have! Feel free to share by commenting on this post or on any of my social media channels.

One of the goals I set out to achieve before starting my blog was to help empower women. I decided that I would start by sharing my own personal experiences and expertise to show women how to build confidence and live happily. Believe it or not I was bullied and teased in Junior High School and for a while I felt ugly and depressed. As I got older I came to the realization that I liked being who I was and that I wasn't going to change. These days I focus on sharing my love for fashion/beauty and helpful tips through my blog and social media platforms.
Back in March, I shared how you can Become Your Own Boss With ANDREA. I showcased these fashionable knee high boots that I selected from ANDREA'S winter catalog. But more importantly I explained how you can earn extra income by signing up to become an Estrella ANDREA. By becoming an Estrella ANDREA you are able to sell ANDREA merchandise from the comfort of your own home, on your spare time. There are more perks besides being able to earn extra cash, such as:
- Additional discounts
- Bonuses that are like cash so you can purchase more items
-Tips on how to sell ANDREA's products
ANDREA has been empowering women to start their own fashion businesses for more than 40 years! They truly want to see their affiliates succeed and they will be there to help you every step of the way. It's definitely a win-win situation because you become your own boss, earn money and have the ability to spruce up your wardrobe in the process. If you're still not convinced on becoming an Estrella ANDREA, read some of their stories of success.

Last week I was invited my fellow fashion blogger, Aminta Iriarte from www.clothesandfashion.net to attend her Shopping Happy Hour event at Macy's Herald Square to learn about a service called Macy's By Appointment. I'd heard of the service before but didn't know much about it so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!! Macy's By Appointment is a FREE personal shopping service that provides you with your own Fashion Consultant that helps you find exactly what you are looking for. We had the pleasure of being paired with Stylist, Nafeesa Muqtasid who hand selected all of the items you see below to help us spruce up our Spring wardrobe and get ready for wedding season!
My experience at Macy's By Appointment was great! I loved the fact that I didn't get overwhelmed like I usually do when shopping at large department stores and it saved me a ton of time. The process was super easy, all I had to do was email Nefeesa my sizes and what I was looking for then visit the Macy's By Appointment office (located on the 4th Floor at Macy's Herald Square). There I had the pleasure of formally meeting Nafeesa and trying on all of the items she selected for me in a private/spacious fitting room.
Thank you so much Nafeesa and Aminta for inviting me to learn about Macy's By Appointment! I truly had a great time!!! Also, thank you to Beto Ramos for capturing the entire event!

Happy hump day!
It's finally beginning to feel like Spring in NYC so I decided to bend the rules a little. The traditional rule about wearing white pants states you're not supposed to wear them before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. However, times have changed and I believe that as long as you rock it tastefully you can pretty much get away with anything (I love winter whites in the appropriate Fall/Winter fabrics, of course).
Today's post is all about these white heavily distressed jeans I ordered from H&M for $19.95!!! The high waist and ankle-length make these jeans a perfect staple for my Spring wardrobe because I can style them in so many ways. I wanted to give them a fresh Spring vibe so I paired them with a sheer floral blouse, bright orange clutch, sunglasses and chestnut brown heels. I love the final look! It's effortless and comfortable which makes it a perfect outfit for almost anything. Over the weekend, I wore them with a white cropped sweater and red pumps for a night out.

Sunglasses: Juicy Couture | Lipstick: MAC in Costa Chic | Nail Polish: Sally Hansen in Pacific Blue

Over the weekend I was able to style this lovely 'Uptown Skirt' I received from Shabby Apple. They design vintage-inspired clothing, accessories and swimwear for the modern woman. In my opinion, their clothing truly makes a statement all on their own. Rather than dress-up this cream and gold brocade fabric skirt I decided to give it a little edge by pairing it with dark colors and a touch of leather.
I'm sorry for the poor quality images but the sun was hating and it was super windy.
Thanks for stopping by!!! Xoxo
Would you believe me if I told you that I found the PERFECT pair of distressed jeans (under $30) at Forever 21?? Gurrrlll, I sure did! Finding jeans that fit me properly is a constant struggle #girlproblems. Because of my small waist and big thighs there's always either a huge gap in the back of my waist or I can't get the jeans past my fat thighs -_-
I've learned to accept the fact that not all jeans are made the same and not every pair are going to look good on me. It really is a process of trial and error but never give up because eventually you'll find a pair you love! I love recreating celeb looks-for-less so I put this outfit together with Kylie Jenner in mind.
Plaid shirts can be worn in so many ways - tucked-in, under a sweatshirt, with a blazer, unbuttoned with a cami, half way tucked-in, wrapped around your waist and of course tied at the bottom like I wore it.
The right shade of lipstick is a must wherever I go. For this look I opted to use Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in the color 1995. The 90s grunge inspired shade was the perfect finishing touch!
Tassels on bracelets? Yes, please!! (only $3.90 at Forever 21)
Over accessorizing can take away from your outfit so if you look like Mr. T you've gone overboard.
Notice anything different??
I felt the new season called for a new layout and thanks to my good friend, the blog underwent a little makeover. I asked for a clean, sleek and user-friendly look and that's exactly what she delivered. I hope you all love it as much as I do!!! Thank you Andreina! <3
While it definitely doesn't feel like Spring in NYC I've been itching to get back into the swing of things. Over the weekend I traded in my bulky winter coat to style this blush trench jacket that I scored from Lulu's during New York Fashion Week. From the moment I saw it, in the hands of another blogger ((cue the dramatic novela music))...I knew I had to have it! Luckily she opted for another item instead and offered the trench jacket to me, thanks Cristina!!
Trench jackets are always in style and they easily transition from day to night. I have a camel colored trench jacket from Zara but I love this one more! The color, fit and poly-nylon blend material make it the perfect finishing touch to my outfits. I highly recommend you add a trench jacket to your wardrobe this Spring because the weather can be unpredictable.
I would love to know whether or not you'd try the trench jacket trend, please vote below!
Adding a pair of edgy/stylish sunglasses to your outfit can instantly add personality to your look. They're also perfect for those no-makeup days. These 'Bad Kitty' stunnas from Rose & Ono were only $25…HOLLER!
Layered necklaces are another hot trend to try!
I opted for this trio of dainty necklaces from Rocksbox when I attended the Dove Dry Spray Friendship Event. Use promo code: STYLEDBYSUZYXOXO to get your first month free!!!
I have so many lipsticks but 'Lilac Flush' from Maybelline's Rebel Bloom Collection is one of my faves! It's the perfect mixture of pink and purple.
