Fashion is not only about your clothes, shoes, accessories or makeup but instead something deeper that comes from within. It consists of your self-confidence, attitude, body-language and mentality. Think about your favorite celeb or idol and ask yourself, why do I like this person? More often than not you like them because of their talent and personality rather than what they are wearing. My point is, let your personality shine through and you'll always be FABULOUS!

I literally had no idea what to wear for this post. I went through piles of clothes looking for something unique and this is what I came up with! A super cute hippie inspired outfit that's perfect for Spring. I started the look off with this fringe top ($8.00) that my friend picked up for me at Dr. Jays. Fringe has been around for 100's of years and used in so many variations throughout fashion. It was very popular in the mid-60's/70's during the Hippie movement. Bright colors, floral patterns, headbands and bell-bottoms come to mind when I think about hippies. I paired the top with a cropped denim vest to form a shape because it fit me loose. I added flare to this look with a bold statement necklace, braided headband, peep-toe booties, denim vintage crossbody handbag ($16.99) and bright lipstick/nail polish. I hope you like this look as much as I do!!!
Peace out dude!

It feels like its been forever since I posted an outfit on the blog but I'm happy I was able to put one look together last week to share with all of you. I'm constantly looking at magazines, blogs and fashion websites for inspiration. This look was inspired by a post I saw on ModaMob about differnet ways to wear a metal plate belt. I purchased one from Zara back in September and I've only worn it once, so I thought it would be a great idea to style a whole new look for the belt. One of their suggestions was to pair the metal plate belt with a peplum top and skinny jeans for a "sexy yet polished look." This look has become on of my favorite outfits because it's trendy and something I never thought of doing (putting a belt around a peplum top). Check out the rest of ModaMob's post here!!!

Would you rock this trendy look?

Hey dolls!!! Here are some snapshots of my beautiful mother and sisters that were taken over the weekend. It was so much fun being under one roof again! I'm truly blessed to have such a loving and supportive family and I am thankful for them every day. Sorry for the poor quality, some of the pics were taken with my iPhone.
A dozen red roses for the best mom EVER!!!
Being silly in the car on our way to dinner!
Of course I had to do a little shopping while we waited :)
My little sister bought us matching bracelets!!!
Family pics on Mother's Day!!!

I wanted to take some mother/daughter pictures so I asked my sister to take a few intimate pics of us. My sister did an amazing job capturing our special moment. We had so much fun improvising on poses and laughing. I love the feel of black & white photos, definitely want to do this again!!!
Cherish every moment you have with your parents and always remember to make time for them.
Tomorrow is not promised.

Friday's are a little bit sweeter now that my job has allowed us to wear jeans to work!!! I might have went a little overboard with this casual outfit, lol.
Shirt: Forever 21
Jeans: De Janiero
Shoes: Payless
Stunnas: Forever 21
Handbag: Target
Lipstick: Wet n' Wild in Mauve Outta Here
Nail Polish: OPI in Can't Find My Czechbook

I'm a big fan of colored jeans and I think they look great with denim/chambray shirts!!! I wanted to wear something laid-back but definitely not boring and this outfit was the result. I really love how the color of my jeans and nails pop! When wearing bright colors it's best to pair them with neutral accessories. I went with some comfy flats in a congnac color that I purchased at Payless for only $16.99 (I always find a great deal there!). My handbag was another fab find that I purchased at Target for only $19.99 (<3 Target). I really like this bag because you can wear it as a crossbody or clutch and it comes in other colors!!! Last but not least, I was finally able to wear my cute aviator sunglasses that were a steal at $5.80 from Forever 21. Always remember to add a few details to your outfit because life is too short to be wearing boring clothes!!! ;)

What's your go to item(s) when putting together a casual look???

SAVE $2.00 Good on any shade of L’Oréal Healthy Look Crème Gloss Hair
Color. Just go to http://print.coupons.com/coupon.asp?id=2069208113306&alt=yes

If you're interested in changing your hair color, revitalizing your current hair color or covering up your grays then I highly recommend you try L’Oréal Paris Healthy Look Crème Gloss Hair Color. Over the weekend my friend dyed my hair with this product and I loved it so much I just had to share! I decided to go with the medium brown shade because I wanted something that would cover up my ombré. Not only did it cover up my bleached ends but it was so easy and quick. Thank you L’Oréal for sending me the coupon to try this amazing hair color for FREE!! I purchased an additional box at Duane Reade for $10.99 because I knew one wasn't going to be enough. It is priced a little higher than other hair dyes but it's worth it (save $2.00 on any shade by clicking the link above). Another thing I would like to note is that the hair color is hard to remove once it dries on your skin. I recommend putting some vaseline or baby oil around your hair line and keeping baby wipes handy. Check out my video below to see the final results and hear my feedback.

Reasons why I love L'oreal Paris Healthy Look Crème Gloss Hair Color :
True to color
The dye did not smell strong (ammonia free)
My hair was soft and manageable afterwards
Color washes away after 28 washes
The bonus conditioner smells amazing and detangles
Provides great coverage (even covers gray hair)
My hair looks healthier

The ability to recreate a different outfit using items you've already worn is not only budget-friendly but it also demonstrates you have a keen eye for fashion. Before I go shopping with my clients I always take inventory of what items they already have in their closets. Wardrobe staples like denim shirts, blazers, white shirts, pencil skirts, little black dresses, etc. can be worn in so many different ways. My clients are always amazed by how I am able to help them maximize their wardrobe by suggesting ways they can put together new looks with the clothes they already have.
In today's post, I am wearing the same white H&M blazer and Zara shoes that I wore in my Easter inspired-outfit, "Lil' Miss Sunshine." Just because you're pressed for time doesn't mean you can't put together a cute outfit. It literally only took me 10 minutes to put this outfit together! I love this white blazer because it fits me great and I can dress up almost any outfit with it. White is a great color to add to your wardrobe for Spring/Summer! Another must have in every woman's closet is a great pair of fitted skinny jeans. I bought these jeans at H&M about two years ago for only $19.95!!! Add a some heels and a cute top to the mix and you're ready to head out the door!

Tips:
*Opt for a darker denim when you want to dress up a casual look.
*Loose fitting tops are great when you want to conceal your tummy.
*Be aware of your undergarments, visible bra straps are a fashion don't.
*Put insoles in your shoes to add a little comfort.
Blazer/Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Zara
Top/Necklace: Forever 21 (similar necklace here)
Lipstick: Revlon in Primrose
Nail polishes: Sally Hansen in Pacific Blue and Sinfulcolors in 24/7

Operation PROM is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005 to help low-income students attend their Proms by providing free Prom dresses and tuxedo rentals. Since then Operation PROM has expanded to provide resources such as clothing and school supplies to students who are sick, homeless or live in shelters. They also provide mentoring to students in need as well as scholarship opportunities. Through their partnerships and donations, Operation PROM has helped thousands of students across the United States attend their Proms.

I was watching the news one day when I saw a segment about Operation PROM and all of the wonderful work they do. I was deeply touched by what I saw and immediately contacted Operation PROM to find out how I could get involved. I was invited to attend a dress giveaway event by Jessica Heller, Director of Operation PROM of New York City. The event took place on Saturday, April 20th at the Carsten Institute of Cosmetology.

I didn't know what to expect when I walked out of  the elevator and into the waiting area of the Carsten Institute of Cosmetology but once I met Jessica and got the breakdown of how things were going to take place throughout the event, my excitement began to kick into overdrive. I chatted with some of the girls that were there to receive a free dress, accessories and makeover. Each girl also received a voucher to come back on the day of their Prom to have their hair and makeup done again. How amazing is that? The talented students of the Carsten Institute of Cosmetology did a fabulous job with hair and makeup.

I had the pleasure of meeting and styling a very special young lady named Gabriela that was there with her mom, Maria. I offered to help pick out her dress and accessories and she agreed. I enjoyed every minute of helping her make her final picks and watching her get glammed-up! At only 17 years old, Gabriela is interested in a career protecting our nation by studying Homeland Security. We talked about everything from how she became interested in Homeland Security to what type of hairstyle and makeup she wanted for Prom. She is such a sweet girl with a very bright future ahead of her. Overall, I really enjoyed this event and I look forward to volunteering to do it again!!!

Operation PROM was able to style over 140 girls at this event!
Chatting it up while we wait for Gabriela's turn to have her makeup done :)
I picked out this cute strapless little black dress for Gabriela. I really liked the sequins and peplum details, the picture doesn't do it justice.
Gabriela's milk maid braids were super cute! I want to try this on my hair!!!
The smokey-eye and nude lip was a great makeup choice by Gabriela!
The Carsten Institute of Cosmetology also has a salon within the school where you can have your hair cut/colored by an in-house stylist that has been trained in the French Haircutting Technique.
I was impressed by the fact that Carsten salons feature products from L'Oréal Professional and Intelligent Nutrients haircare and skin.

Below are pictures and details of what I wore to the event.
Skirt: Forever 21 (similar one here)
Shoes: Forever 21
Ring: Claire's
Nail polish: Sinfulcolors in Unicorn
Lipstick: Maybelline in Fuchsia Fever
My goal in life is to leave a legacy behind so people will remember me even after I'm gone.

Have plans after work? No time to run home and change?

These days everything is about functionality and creativity. We all want to look great but don’t always have the time or desire to lug around with a change of clothes. Below are my tips on how to transform a work look from day to night. The collage is made up of products I personally use and items I believe will help any woman prep for a playful evening!

*Cosmetic cases can double as a nighttime clutch.

*For the evening, put on some colorful eye shadow or opt for a bright lipstick. I love Maybelline’s Color Sensational lipstick line! My favorite hues are Fuchsia Fever and Shocking Coral. If you prefer a long lasting lip color, you should definitely try lip tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. A tiny dot of product goes a very, very long way. Read more about this 100% vegan & cruelty free cosmetic line here: http://www.occmakeup.com/lips.html

*When it comes to your hair, you can easily switch up your look just by doing the opposite of what you did during the day! If you wore it down, pick it up or pull it to the side (secure with some
hairspray). If you wore it up, take it down and spray on some dry shampoo for a voluminous mane.

*Brighten up your face by sweeping on some highlighter and emphasizing your eyes. Start my curling your eyelashes, I never go anywhere without my Tweezerman eyelash curler. Put on some black mascara (Diorshow waterproof mascara is my go-to for bold lashes) and add black eyeliner
to your lower lash line.

*The skin is the largest organ of the human body; revitalize it with some body bronzer and a spritz of your favorite perfume. Samples and rollerball perfumes are perfect because they are light and
fit anywhere.

*Add a punch of color to your work outfit by adding a blazer in a print or bright hue. I prefer form fitting blazers when transitioning my day look to a night look.

*Less is more; add an amazing topper to your look by selecting one piece of statement jewelry. A bold necklace always does the trick!

*Need a pop of color? A scarf is a great way to add some color to your outfit. If you don’t want to wear it around your neck you don’t have to. Wear it as a belt or tie it around your handbag!

*Last but not least, my favorite part about getting dressed up – the shoes!!! Slip into some colorful/sexy heels for a night out on the town. You don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort; a pair of trendy wedges is acceptable.

For this giveaway I partnered up with Asta Sinusas, a personal stylist from Stella & Dot. I met her at a Shecky's event where she showcased unique accessories from Stella & Dot's online boutique. I inquired about the possibility of teaming up to do a giveaway for all my lovely readers and Asta agreed!
I'm super excited about this giveaway because it is the first time Asta has teamed up with a blogger and she allowed me to pick the winning piece. I wanted the prize to be something that I personally would wear so I selected the snakeskin embossed leather & gold bracelet called, "Bello Bangle." The bracelet has been featured in InStyle Magazine and has a retail value of $89. I love this piece because it can be the focal point of a casual outfit or the finishing touch on a chic look for a night out. You can pair it with more bracelets to create an arm party or wear it alone, either way this piece is a great addition to any jewelry wardrobe!

Make sure to visit Stella & Dot's online boutique for the trendiest jewelry/accessories and find out how you can host your very own Trunk Show. For more details, contact Asta.

Hi loves, I'm back from my amazing vacation in Miami! Although it was a short trip, I enjoyed every minute of it. I've been to Miami a bunch of times but this trip was extra special because I was invited to attend the wedding of my favorite couple - Adrian and Karilin. The beautiful couple exchanged vows at the Epic hotel, which was truly breathtaking. The grooms speech was so touching it even had some of the guys tearing. Everyone looked great! The guys especially because I'm not used to seeing them being dressed in a suit & tie.
Then we headed to the ballroom where we laughed and danced the night away. Just when we thought the party was over...we headed to the hottest nightclub in Miami, LIV at the Fountainbleau Hotel. It truly was an EPIC night, one that I will never forget! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Correa for inviting us to be part of your special day.
I styled the hubby for the wedding!
Dress: Dor L’ Dor
