This past Sunday, I surprised my hubby with tickets to go see the Chicago Bulls (his favorite basketball team) play against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. It was my first time going to see a live basketball game and just like my first football game at Candle Stick Park, I loved it! Although the Bulls lost (100-89) it was a good game. I was literally jumping out of my seat every time the Bulls missed a shot. The performances, trivia, throwback pictures, t-shirt canon balls and kid dancers made the experience a lot more fun! Clobys' favorite part besides the actual game were the jumbo footlong hot dogs, lol.
Self service ketchup, what a disaster O_o
It was also my first time inside of MSG since the much needed renovations. I must say they did a great job with the $1 billion they spent on the 3 year transformation. Bye, bye purple/green seats and hello fancy "Chase Bridges" with an over-the-top view!!! There were high-definition televisions everywhere, a wide selection of bars & restaurants and restrooms clean enough to hangout for a quick selfie! We can't wait to go back :)
As a little girl I loved playing with my moms costume jewelry. I vividly recall watching her carefully apply her makeup which consisted of Covergirl foundation, black eyeliner, blush and a bright lipstick. She'd leave the room misty after applying half a can of V05 hair spray but she looked flawless each and every time. Then she would select a few accessories to go with her outfit and she was ready to go! I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. I never leave home without my accessories because I feel naked without them.
On Sunday, I was able to take advantage of the nice weather and style this teardrop statement necklace from Gabby's House of Jewelry. If you haven't heard of Gaby's online boutique then you should check it out because she has a ton of trendy accessories, all under $30!!! I've purchased so many great pieces from her boutique and I can't seem to get enough. The moment I saw this necklace, I just knew I had to have it! Although it looked a little intimidating because of the size, I accepted the challenge and made it the focal point of my outfit with a white graphic t-shirt and black midi-skirt. To play up the color of the necklace I wore a similar hue on my lips and nails. The necklace is no longer available in this color but Gaby does have it in a beautiful turquoise color for $18, click here.
Thanks for stopping by! Xoxo

How would you like win a shopping experience with the gorgeous Jackie Cruz (star of Orange Is The New Black) and a $500 gift card to use at Century 21 Department Store?
Jackie Cruz has teamed up with Century 21 Department Store to give shoppers and fans a deeper look into her personal style, which she describes as bohemian meets rocker-chic. I really like Jackie's sense of individuality when it comes to style and the fact that she admits loving expensive brands from C21 just as much as she does getting a great deal.

Just like Flaca (the character she plays on Orange Is The New Black), Jackie likes being different. Below are some of the Latina fashionista's on-trend fashion picks from Century 21. The Black and White trend is one I feel you can never go wrong with because it makes a statement without a lot of fuss. Needless to say I approve of Jackie's Century 21 picks! The white and black sheer yoke top is a great wardrobe staple, perfect for a night out with the girls or underneath a cropped blazer to add a little sexiness to your office look.
I take back what I said about "Hello Spring!" because it's still super cold in New York and we're supposed to get snow this evening (insert not impressed face). But hopefully Spring decides to come soon and stick around for a while. Today's look is a simple outfit I put together for work last Thursday. The entire look was only $50!!! The short sleeve sweater was a sale item ($12.90) I found at Zara a few months ago. The pencil skirt, shoes and necklace are all from Forever 21. Thanks for stopping by!
I love the pretty bows and pop of purple on the bottom of these nude pumps!
Nude heels make your leg and foot seem to connect and never end. They're the perfect way to make your legs look longer!!! ;)

Today is the first official day of Spring! Although the average temperature is still in the 40's I'm excited about the good weather to come, mainly because I have a ton of cute clothes I'm dying to wear. One of them being this blouse I purchased from the Peter Pilotto for Target capsule collection.
On February 9, 2014 Target debuted their most recent collaboration with award-winning London design duo Peter Pilotto. The limited edition line consisted of swimwear, sunglasses, shoes, beach towels, and a variety of separates in with bold/piled on prints. Their designs are known for having colorful kaleidoscopic prints which they made sure to incorporate into the line. If you ask me, the capsule collection is a great dupe of the real thing. Check out these celebs/models wearing the real thing!
I knew I had to have this blouse the moment I saw it. The professional silhouette and print made it a perfect piece to add a little zest to my work wardrobe. I paired it with a royal blue faux leather pencil skirt from Forever 21 to play up the hints of blue on the blouse. A statement necklace, black pumps and red lipstick completed my work outfit. I love this look because it was simple to put together yet it makes a bold statement!
Just because I love to save money when I shop doesn't mean that I'm cheap. I prefer to think of myself as a frugal individual that knows how to balance my passion for fashion with my financial responsibilities. In todays post I'll be sharing tips on how to get more while spending less. As a fashionista on a budget, I'm always on the prowl for a good sale, clearance items, promotional codes, coupons, sample sales, street fairs, etc.
With technology at our fingertips, I think that everyone should be signing up for loyalty/rewards programs at their favorite stores and brands. I've saved so much money and received a ton of freebies just by registering my email address. Whether it's a free medium soup after your tenth purchase or points for providing your email address, reward programs are a brand's way of saying thank you to its consumers for their business. The good thing about most of these programs, is that you don't have to do much, just sign up and SHOP! This past weekend I scored a free lace panty and full-size body spray at Victoria's Secret without having to make a purchase!!!
Which leads me to share a new and exciting rewards program that Gabby's House of Jewelry recently launched for her top accessory lovers! Gabby's House of Jewelry is a unique accessory line that offers unique statement pieces at an affordable price for the everyday stylish girl. Signing up for the rewards program is quick and FREE! The link to join is located at the bottom of the website (see screen shot below). Gaby and I have been working together since last Summer, she invited me to a jewelry party and I've been hooked on her accessories ever since. What I love most about working with Gaby is that she really does go the extra mile to make her customers happy. I'm always emailing her pictures of statement pieces I love and she gets right on it for me. Below are some of the items I've purchased from her online boutique.
Stay tuned for an exciting collaboration with Gabby's House of Jewelry coming this Spring!
When a customer is eligible to redeem their point, a special promotional code will be emailed to them. This rewards program is only available for online orders. Customers have the option of purchasing their order online and entering the promo code "pickup" so that they are not charged shipping cost and can pick up their order up in person. All orders are processed within 5-7 business days.
Coming Soon to Gabby's House of Jewelry!!!
TGIF! I thought this week was never going to end.
I'm really happy that I have no plans this weekend so I can just sleep, relax and get some organizing done (story of my life). I'll probably do a little shopping tomorrow with the hubster, I have a ton of freebies to redeem!!! I hope you enjoy today's post and have a great weekend!!! Xoxo
I used L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray to add volume and texture to my hair. I must say it's a great product to use if you want to add fullness to your hair!
How to use:
Spray 8-12 inches from dry hair to BOOST IT and texturize for all over fullness. Or spray directly on roots for targeted high root lift. For amplified lift and fullness, use a comb to tease the hair. The perfect finisher for your style.
This entire look only cost me $78.57!!! Yep, you read correctly! Like I've said before and I'll say it again, you DO NOT have to spend A LOT to look FABULOUS ((flips hair)).
The boyfriend look is perfect for days you don't feel like getting all dressed up but still want to look fashionable. These are only my second pair of boyfriend jeans but they won't be my last! Because I have big thighs and a booty it's hard for me to shop for jeans. To work my way around this problem when looking for boyfriend jeans, I go up a size and it does the trick! Remember, boyfriend jeans are supposed to fit low and loose at the hips.
Pairing boyfriend jeans with a graphic tee/sweater and heels gives you an effortless look that's both stylish and comfy! Be sure to do your hur (hair), wear lipstick and add a fun print or color clutch/handbag.
P.S. I'm loving this "Tres Chic" sweater I bought at Forever 21. I freaking love that store!
This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with NEUTROGENA and Latina Bloggers Connect. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
People often ask me, "how do you keep your skin looking so clear and youthful?" Truth is, all I do is drink a lot of water and wash/moisturize my face twice a day. When I'm too tired to wash my face, I always reach into my nightstand and grab my Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. I've been using them for years because they are great on my gentle/dry skin. When I found out I was selected to participate in the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes "Face-Off Challenge" and share my thoughts on this awesome beauty product I was super excited! Keep reading to find out how I incorporate these great makeup removing towelettes into my beauty routine and to find out if they passed the white towel test.
I also use the Neutrogena Towelettes to get the makeup removing job done when my facial wash doesn't. Yes, I'm talking about waterproof mascara/eyeliner which can create a sticky mess after you've washed your face. Unlike other makeup removing towelettes I trust these because they are gentle enough to use around the delicate eye area and safe for contact lens wearers. I also use them to clean up any fall out during the makeup process, especially when creating a smokey eye with black eyeshadow.
It's no shocker that these bad boys passed the white towel test! After removing all of my makeup with a Neutrogena Towelette you can see the towel is still clean!!! I highly recommend you try the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes because they actually work and they're affordable. Since one wipe does the trick, they last a long time!
I'm literally counting down the days until Spring because I cannot deal with this cold weather anymore. On a brighter note its been getting darker later so I was able to squeeze in a new look to share with you! For this look I decided to style a trendy color block coat from OASAP. I love putting together different looks because it allows me to express my creativity and test my styling skills, hope you like this look as much as I do!
In order to make this coat the focal point of my outfit I decided to go for a sleek/sophisticated look. I kept my outfit simple and neutral by wearing black high-waisted pants from Forever 21 and a black & white cropped top from H&M. I wasn't sure what shoes to wear with this outfit but luckily the first pair I tried on went perfectly! These red leopard printed pumps from Shoedazzle are one of my favorite pair of heels.
There's something very sophisticated about styling your hair in a sleek low ponytail so I shrugged off my insecurities about my ears and went for it! Surprisingly I really like how my hair looked. To create the sleek ponytail I only used L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek It Frizz Vanisher Cream which provides up to 3 days of frizz control and an ouchless elastic hair tie. A pair of stud earrings, midi rings and gold clutch from Old Navy were the finishing touches.
I love this Color Block Lining Spliced Coat but unfortunately it's not the right fit for me. The jacket is brand new, I only wore it for this post and it's a size small. Enter below for your chance to WIN it!!!!
